Florida’s roofer solicitation law: what contractors can’t offer you

Deductible waivers, gift cards and free-roof pitches are banned. Here’s how to spot them.

If a roofer offers to pay or waive your deductible, walk away. Florida law prohibits it, and the state treats a deductible waiver as insurance fraud.
